I have three Reolink cameras to monitor activity in my barn. I am very happy with the amount of control I have over how it records on the SD card and with the ability to access to the SD card. I do not use a cloud service. I just use wifi to access the SD cards. I have been happier with Reolink cameras over other cameras I have purchased. However, I recommend the Pro versions because they can use 5g wifi. This one is not a pro and it works fine but I have to use the lower setting on my wifi. Sometimes that lower setting is not always available. I knew that the barn had both 5g and the lower setting so I go this one to save a few bucks but my other two Reolinks are 5g and I prefer that model.

I've been using Reolink Outdoor cameras for years so when I need an indoor camera, I decided to give Reolink a try.
First of all, the shipment arrive super fast. And very easy to install. The night vision is pretty clear and picture quality is pretty good too. The only issue I was having is the camera is only able to move horizontally and up, not down, but it's easily fix by changing the spot of the camera.
The price is also affordable, I recommend it.

I have had a Reolink solar powered camera for a while to watch for "critters" under my deck that would try to tunnel under my sun room. I could catch them before they did any damage and the built in siren feature seemed to irritate most raccoons, opossums, and groundhogs and they would just turn and walk away. Not so much afraid but just irritated.
I decided to take an extended trip to a beach house and needed some sort of "do it yourself" security. I could hide a few valuables but if somebody came in for an extended time they probably could find and take anything they wanted. Things can be replaced but while traveling loosing a computer or other items would be very inconvenient. Knowing how the Reolink devices worked I looked and found this camera. After comparing with others for features and price I decided this camera seemed like a good solution.
If you need it you can even use the remote Pan and Tilt option to look around if the wide angle view is not sufficient.
I have been VERY pleased with the performance of the camera and the iPhone app. The camera has a built in siren or custom audio and push notification to the phone. When I leave the house I set the push notification and siren on and if somebody enters the property it will alert me within a few seconds and start the siren. With the cloud option (free for one camera or paid for more) the video triggered by motion will be captured even if somebody tries to disable the camera. Beyond the cloud option the camera will also capture videos to an SD card.
I had a question about setting the options to turn on the features I wanted when I left the house and wondered if iPhone shortcuts could activate any options. It was a few touches to find the options and turn them on or off. I could not figure it out if Shortcuts could help so I asked Reolink with a support ticket. In a couple of hours I got a reply and said that Shortcuts would not work but there was a feature called Scenes that could help. Sure enough I created two scenes, one to arm the camera motion sensor and siren and one to disarm then. I replied with a thank you and suggested that maybe an iPhone shortcut could be used to activate a scene and again in a couple of hours they replied and said they would pass on the suggestion to their development group for consideration. You could not ask for more. Their support was VERY knowledgeable and quick and went beyond just a simple answer.
If you are looking for a reliable camera with a very useful assortment of features at an excellent price you should consider Reolink products.

I have quite a few Reolink cameras of varying model types. These include the indoor ones such as these, outdoor hardwired units and outdoor solar powered cameras. The Reolink app is great for monitoring all of the cameras from anywhere in the world. Unlike other providers, there is no fee for using the viewing service and (to my knowledge) no upper limit of cameras that you can view. I bought these cameras to replace Amazon cameras that were no longer supported and replaced with some that required a subscription.
For these particular units, I found that I had to connect them via the ethernet cable to set them up properly through my wi-fi. This could be my wi-fi settings being awkward and not the cameras. However, once I had the camera setup in the app, I was able to set the wi-fi settings and disconnect the camera from the ethernet. Two new units setup and being monitored through the wi-fi.

The ease of installation and connection with this device - albeit slightly more audibly annoying - was faster than other systems, and synched up to my dual band WiFi signal more efficiently than the other brand we have throughout our home. The mount is more user friendly, and my only complaint is the size of the power cord, and the angle it sticks out. It's not the most hidden of sizes, and it definitely protrudes a bit more than other devices.
I'm not going to knock it for not having it, but PoE+ would be an amazing add-on to a device like this as it would improve video quality, reduce WiFi impact, and greatly increase overall network security if it could be wired in without having to worry about the bulky power adapter.
I've been seeing a lot of reviews talking about how their camera is accessible from outside of their network, and that's completely intentional. This in no way indicates that your data is being passed on to REOLink. You have to setup your own Admin credentials to access the device, and it supports a local MicroSD card for storage. You can also forgo the MicroSD card if you have a newer REOLink NVR and pair it to that internal system to record 24/7 within the physical hard drive, giving you greater storage times.
The REOLink app synchronizes between your device's internal IP address within your network. You can block the IP from getting outside your network, it'll just make it impossible to view from the REOLink app while you're not home. That's kind of the point of having cameras in your house... to make sure your stuff/people is/are safe when you're not there and to be able to access the feed when an alert occurs.

Note, you can re-up the free monthly subscription on the online video service, every month.
